A New Look at Fittonbooks.com
I want my book site to be the best value on the Internet. Already, my site is different. I write and record my own books. I publish works that can be easily accessed on the web. For months I struggled to formulate a concept that would be unique. I looked at the other sites, including author's sites. Everyone wants to make a profit, ( and so do I ) but I thought I could sell my material in a way radically different from other authors. Look at the price of individual e-books and audio books and then come to Fittonbooks.com.
Okay, we're not talking Harrods Any one who has worked in a store knows about inventory. The more inventory you acquire- the more dollars you are carrying on the bottom line. So, goods are priced to sell at a profit. Suppose you drove to your favorite department store and every door had been sealed with bricks.-Every door but one.
Outside that strange, arched door was a concrete tunnel with rows of amber lights. At the end of the tunnel is a man in the shadow. Simultaneously, the same man stands at the edge of an ocean that over looks the universe. You don't think this a door at all. Well, then what the heck is it? The man turns from the water, squints slightly and says: " This, my respected shopper, is a portal."
By now you think the IRS has shut down and impounded the store contents. Or maybe this guy thinks he can travel through time and space. "Maybe," he laughs. " I work here and you are lucky you stopped by." " Oh, really?" you ask, surveying the rest of the mall for a real place to shop. You ask him why you are so lucky to be here and he gestures to the starry sky. " If you buy a membership I will let you go inside and you can have access to everything for one year. New stuff arrives during the year so don't fret."
" What kind of junk is is in there?" you demand to know. " Junk... You think I would sell junk... hmmm. I'll tell you what I'm going to do. You pay your membership. Go inside my portal. Take whatever you want during the year. and if you think my store isn't worth it..." He removes several dollar bills from his pocket. " You can have your money back."
Now, he has you attention and you are no longer pursuing the other mall stores where you need to purchase individual items. You open you wallet and hand him the fee. Then you walk through the concrete tunnel toward the sea, but this portal had you wondering if this man is telling you the truth about what's inside. He is...
